bio powder washes best. it contains enzymes that destroy organic molecules, i.e. dirt and wash them away. the enzymes only work in water below 50 degrees, but as the water takes a while to get to temperature they work in hot washes too. plus the soap contents works in all temperatures.

In both cases, I put the washing powder or liquid in the tub rather than in the drawer. I only wash at 40C. I have not been impressed by Aldi's washing powder. I often find some white traces on the clothing post wash.

Used to use liquid or tablets but found my husband's work shirts weren't getting clean and really smelt of bo. After reading a thread on here I tried powder and have to say it is the best. I tend to use lenor summer breeze softener on the sheets as I like the smell when they go on the bed. As for brand of powder, anything that is on offer.
